Quantock Hills
Red Deer Park is nestled on the outskirts of the Quantock Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
There are stunning panoramic views from the top of the hills, as well as the scenic coastline, deep wooded Combes and picturesque countryside villages.
Dunster Castle
Dunster Castle is around a 20-minute drive from Red Deer Park, the ancient castle features subtropical gardens, a country home, a watermill, tea rooms, and parkland with a river. It’s definitely worth a visit.
Kilve Beach
Go fossil hunting along the Jurassic coastline, or bring a picnic to have on the large grassy area behind the beach. There is also a tea garden available for ice creams and snacks. Kilve Beach is around a 20-minute drive from Red Deer Park.
West Somerset Railway
Ride the 20 miles of heritage railway through the stunning Somerset Countryside. Jump on the railway at Crowcombe or Stogumber and ride it all the way to Minehead, where you can explore the town and beach.
Exmoor National Park
Red Deer Park is situated around a 20-minute drive from the edge of Exmoor. There are many highlights to explore including the Valley of the Rocks, Wimbleball Lake, Ilfracombe, Withypool, Exford, Lynton & Lynmouth and the Heddon Valley.
Glastonbury
About an hour’s drive from Red Deer Park, you will find the world-famous Glastonbury. The town itself is possibly the quirkiest town in England with a hippy culture and lots of gift shops to explore. There’s also Glastonbury Tor to climb and experience some of the best views in Somerset.
Carew Arms
The Carew Arms is a B&B and rural pub at the foot of the Quantock Hills in the village of Crowcombe. At the top of Crowcombe Park Gate, you’ll find stunningly beautiful views, just a 5-minute drive away from Red Deer Park. Upon visiting you can admire the historical country pub and enjoy a nice drink in the beer garden.
Tarr Steps
Tarr Steps is an iconic Exmoor landmark, around a 45-minute drive from Red Deer Park. The ancient bridge is over 3000 years old and there are many walking routes near the steps to explore the local area. During the summer the local pub/cafe and ice cream stand are available for visitors serving some of the best local food available in Devon.
Golf Clubs
Red Deer Park is situated between several golf clubs, all around a 20-30 minute drive away from the park. These include Enmore Golf Club, Minehead Golf Club, Oake Manor Golf Club and Cedar Falls, all with fantastic facilities.
Porlock
Travel to Porlock to experience a picturesque village and stunning rugged coastline, as well as walks in and around the area. The village is around a 1/2 hour drive away.
Dunkery Beacon
Dunkery Beacon is the highest summit on Exmoor and in Devon, the site is around a 35 minute drive away from Red Deer Park. Experience a stunning climb to the top and be rewarded with some exceptional views across the hills. On a clear day you can also see the coastline of Wales in the distance.

The Farmers Arms is a traditional country pub in the heart of Somerset a 5-minute drive away from Red Deer Park. With delicious food using the best locally sourced produce, this pub is a must try.
